Sajai Singh

Sajai Singh is Resident Partner and Head of the Technology Media and Telecommunications Practice in J. Sagar Associates in Bangalore (India). Mr. Singh focuses his practice on emerging technology; venture capital and private equity investments; and mergers and acquisitions. His transactional work focuses on representing emerging technology companies in areas of inbound investments in India, venture capital and private equity investments, joint ventures, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions. In venture funding and private equity transactions, he has represented both funds and investee companies. During his career, he has represented clients in a cross section of industries including media, communication, entertainment, and Business Process Outsourcing. Mr. Singh has assisted many international businesses and funds to funnel investments in India. These clients include established and high technology companies, Internet start-ups, connectivity specialists, e-commerce ventures, conversion technology and technology based entertainment industries.

Mr. Singh conducts two professional skills development courses at the National Law School of India University in Bangalore, one on Negotiation Skills, and another on Transactional Skills for lawyers. He also acts as Indian Venture Capital Journal (IVCJ) faculty and conducts a Venture Capital and Private Equity investment workshop in conjunction with other IVCJ faculty. He serves on the Board of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw) and chairs its Education Committee. Mr. Singh is also very active with TiE and the American Bar Association globally, and is often called to speak at international events. Mr. Singh received his LLB at the University of Delhi; his PGD Business Management degree at the Institute of Marketing and Management (New Delhi), and his B.Sc at St. Johns College in Agra.
