Magda Cocco
Magda Cocco is a partner in Vieira de Almeida & Associados (www.vda.pt) on the Telecoms Media & IT practice group in Lisbon (Portugal). Ms. Cocco focuses her practice on telecommunications, media, e-commerce, and information technology and privacy compliance and information security. She has in-depth regulatory expertise in telecommunication and media and has been involved in many of the most significant deals in Portugal in this sector. She has also been actively working in the areas of media and information technologies. Ms. Cocco is in charge of privacy and data protection practice in the firm. In such capacity, she has advised companies from all sectors on several compliance matters.
She has lectured at the Faculty of Law, at Lisbon University, and has participated as invited speaker in several conferences and seminars, and published numerous articles in national and international specialized publications. In 2007, Ms. Cocco received the Iberian Lawyer’s “40 under forty” award for the best young lawyers in Iberia, she is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association and of the “Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications”.
