Krzysztof Stefanowicz
Krzysztof Stefanowicz is a senior partner in Salans Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Groups. He heads the IT/IP practice in Salans Warsaw office (Poland). Mr. Stefanowicz focuses his practice on information technology; intellectual property licensing and litigation/arbitration; advice and negotiation on outsourcing arrangements, including the restructuring of outsourcing agreements; information security and privacy compliance; and intellectual property protection. His transactional practice includes licensing, outsourcing, joint ventures, M&A, and commercial arrangements.
Mr. Stefanowicz is a co-chair of the Telecom Committee at Warsaw American Chamber of Commerce. He has been admitted to practice law in Poland since 1990. He graduated from Warsaw University (Juris Doctor, 1987; Master of Laws, 1978). He was a lecturer at Warsaw University (1978-2004) and at Capital University Columbus, Ohio (USA).
The prestigious publications Practical Law Company and European Legal Experts have recognized Mr. Stefanowicz as a leading lawyer in the fields of telecommunications / media law and new technologies law, company law, intellectual property law, and court and arbitration proceedings. He is the author of numerous articles and books, and a member of the International Bar Association, Computer Law Association, and the Criminal Law Association. Mr. Stefanowicz also specializes in court and arbitration proceedings before Polish and foreign courts. He is an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. Mr. Stefanowicz speaks Polish, English, Russian, and German.
